From the airport we make our way to Qalansiya on the west side of the island. Qalansiya is considered the second biggest town on Socotra, though in spirit it feels like a large fishing village.

This area is home to endless Socotri endemic plants, including the dragon blood tree. Shebahon gives a marvelous view over Dirhur Canyon with unusual rock formations and breathtaking scenery.

We then drive down to Wadi Dirhur for photos and continue up to the dragon blood tree forest of Firmihin for lunch, dinner, and overnight camping.
